The Board of Civil Authority (BCA) consist of the elected Justice of the Peace, Selectboard and the Town Clerk.  The Board of Abatement (BOA) consist of the BCA, as well as the elected Listers and Town Treasurer. 

The Board of Civil Authority duties include assisting in elections, maintaining the voter checklist, hear tax appeals (when the property owner disagrees with the listers assessed value of their property).
